Enjoy a California coastal holiday. Visitors can enjoy hundreds of thousands of light sparkle and dance along the water's edge. Pre-parade activities take place during the afternoon and include snow play for kids, strolling carolers, horse-drawn carriages with sleigh bells, visits from Santa & Mrs. Claus and much, much more. Parade may be viewed from parks and walkways that line the route as well as from most Harbor restaurants.

Queen Anne cottage open to public twice a year Sunday, December 14th, 2008 don't just peek through the windows of the arboretum's Queen Anne cottage, come inside to see the historic treasures! The cottage, with its marble terrace, Victorian furnishings and treasures provides a charming opportunity for the whole family. Queen Anne cottage Elias Jackson ("lucky") Baldwin's Queen Anne cottage was constructed in 1885-86, probably as a honeymoon gift for his fourth wife, sixteen- year-old lillie Bennett.

An enchanting paradise describes this annual event held in December. Virginia City goes all out, with streets and buildings decorated with Christmas lights. The city hosts a parade with lighted floats slowly cruising the downtown streets. There is a window-decorating contest, and awards are given to the store with the most innovative and dazzling front window. The original oil lamps from the 1800s are lit to add a touch of nostalgia. This is heartwarming holiday event, fun for people of all ages.
